You're a Squad Leader because you created your team, or another Squad Leader/admin promoted you. It's scoped to your one team only — you can't manage anyone else's.
Under Team > Team Admin you can rename your team, upload a team logo, and manage everything below. This tab only appears for your own team's Squad Leader (or a Platform Admin) — regular members don't see these controls.
Every team defaults to invite-only — it won't show up as a pickable option for someone browsing or registering, and the only way in is your team's invite link. Team Admin shows a badge for the current status and a checkbox to switch it: turn invite-only off if you'd rather let anyone request to join and approve them one at a time instead.
The invite link itself auto-rotates every 7 days on its own, so an old link that got shared somewhere you didn't intend stops working without you having to do anything. "Regenerate" rotates it immediately if you want a fresh one sooner. There's a separate, unrelated public leaderboard link too — that one's read-only and doesn't let anyone join, it just shows your team's all-time standings to whoever has the link.
Someone requesting to join your team (via the invite link, or a general request if invite-only is off) shows up pending until you approve or deny them. You'll also get an email if the app's operator has outgoing email configured. A brand-new team a member creates themselves is automatically approved and makes them Squad Leader right away — there's no one else who could approve it.
Team Admin's roster card is where you set each shooter's assigned handicap yardage. It's shown as a live hint while logging their round and as a sortable column on the Team Leaderboard — informational only, the app doesn't automatically adjust anyone's score based on it, since the real scoring rule varies by league.
You can promote any other approved member of your team to Squad Leader — useful before you step back from the role, or just to share the load. A member still pending approval can't be promoted until they're approved first.
From Team Admin (or when creating a new team), you can request to join a league your team wants to compete in. That's a pending request too — a League Admin has to approve it before your team shows as an active member of that league. A standalone team with no league works exactly the same otherwise; joining one is entirely optional.
